GOP green group flunks Bishop, Cannon - Salt Lake Tribune
The group quotes Huntsman on the front of its 16-page report looking at congressional votes from 2006 and 2007 sessions of Congress.Since some guy from China endorses a ridiculous scam, let's all go back to the Stone Age
"If we're going to survive as a party, we need to focus on the environment," Huntsman, who has spoken out about combating global warming, is quoted as saying.
The group, which claims some 3,000 members across the country, gave Bishop and Cannon negative points for trying to weaken the National Landscape Conservation System and block its passage.
"The contrast between Gov. Huntsman and Congressman Bishop and Chris Cannon is very stark," says REP's policy director, Jim DiPeso. "We believe that our party would be better if we followed Huntsman's lead."
Professor Jiahua Pan from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences said the planet could not afford for countries such as Australia and the United States to have such "wasteful and luxurious" lifestyles.

Prof Zhang said it was not fair to expect China to do more to combat climate change just because it was a large country.
Australian climate adviser Ross Garnaut, in a video message, backed the Chinese experts' calls for a global pact based on a per capita greenhouse allowance.
He said this was fair.
Prof Garnaut reiterated his conclusion that the world should aim for equal per capita greenhouse gas emissions of about two tonnes per person per year by 2050. Australia's emissions are more than 25 tonnes per year.
