Indulgences we can do without « Poneke’s Weblog
But it is scientifically absurd to be told we should pay to plant a tree as penance for taking a flight that gets us where we want to go at a tiny fraction of the time we used to waste by horseback, foot or sailing ship.

My bullshit antennae is really bristling with these indulgences.
Fresh Bilge » Raving Idiocy
This is stark raving idiocy. Millions of green jobs? The proposed regulations will cripple business, driving more jobs offshore. One recent study suggested 2.2 jobs would be lost for every one “created.” And failure to develop our own energy resources will only increase our dependence on foreign suppliers. All this with absolutely no proof that so-called “greenhouse gases” are causing or will cause climate change.
News Cottage: Climate change will 'cause global war'
CLIMATE change could push more than 40 countries to armed conflict, according to a shocking new report by Oxfam.

The charity is calling for Prime Minister Gordon Brown to lead the way at international environmental talks before some of the world's poorest nations descend into armageddon.
Power Line - The Public Is Catching On
In recent months, a key trend in American public opinion has emerged: voters are catching on to the global warming scam. It's hard to say why this is happening; certainly not because news coverage has gotten any more unbiased or scientifically accurate. Nevertheless, somehow the word is getting out: the alarmists are all wet.
...
Members of the "political class" still buy into the alarmist theory, with 48 percent holding out for the "human activity" option. No surprise there: there is lots of money and power in it for them. But as far as the American people are concerned, the politicians and politicized scientists appear to be losing the argument.

We all know Global Warming is a lie. Wonder how many followers that statement is going to cost me. Oh well. Bye!
