Bradbury was in Ashland for Earth Day festivities and teachings at ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum. An advocate for environmental issues, Bradbury was trained in presenting former Vice President Al Gore's program "An Inconvenient Truth," which portrays the dangers of global warming.
The return to chilly weather this weekend may be disappointing. But it should not have come as a surprise.
Our temperatures have been colder than average much of the time for most of the past year and a half.
The cold weather trend began in December 2007. That started a run of seven consecutive colder-than- average months that continued through last June.
July and August had temperatures close to average. September was a little warmer than average. October was about average. November was much above average. But every month since has been cold.
