Mike Rogers faces attack ads from climate scam supporters
The Michigan League of Conservation Voters and its national counterpart will run about 700 TV spots on cable networks in Lansing targeting U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers in advance of a vote on climate change legislation. The Steamboat Pilot & Today: Conservative commentary: Earth Day then, now
The 30-second ad -- titled "Believe" -- began airing Friday and is to run for a week. It accuses the Brighton Republican, who serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, of saying "no to clean energy" and "no to millions of new jobs" while accepting campaign contributions from the oil and gas industry.
Said Rogers press secretary Sylvia Warner: "Partisan attack ads can't change facts. The president himself said this bill will cause electric rates to skyrocket."
Cheerleading mainstream journalists have decided the likes of Horner and Anderson “are not news,” as one bluntly told me — so you heard little about their visit to Ritterville. The governor letting three eco-crusading foundations pay his climate czar’s salary has caused no stir, either.
What sheep we are.
