South Dakota CO2-warmed spring now this mild:  Only thousands of calves, lambs in a single county lost to string of spring snow storms

BELLE FOURCHE -- Thousands of lambs and calves have been lost in Butte County alone from winter this year according to early unofficial reports.

Sheriff Fred Lamphere said Thursday, “I think we’re going to have losses that will be pretty substantial.”
