House Democrats once again use climate fraud in an attempt to raise taxes
House Democrats introduced two bills yesterday aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions and curbing toxic pollution by requiring a 5-cent deposit on beverage containers and imposing a 5-cent tax on single-use plastic bags from grocery stores and other retailers.

Citing climate change concerns, Reps. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Jim Moran (D-Va.) reintroduced legislation that would establish a national 5-cent deposit on plastic water bottles and other beverage containers. Markey, the chairman of the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming, first introduced the "Bottle Recycling Climate Protection Act" in 2007.
...
Angela Logomasini, the director of risk and environmental policy for the Competitive Enterprise Institute, slammed the deposit as a tax. She has headed up the conservative think tank's efforts to dispel consumer worries about bottled water safety and environmental impact.

"A tax is a tax," Logomasini said. "I don't see that it's a positive thing, and I don't think it's going to change how people use containers. It's just another way to fill government coffers."

Logomasini also pointed out that states and localities are already managing recycling programs.
More climate fraud propaganda for your children!
"This book is fantastic! Through jaw-dropping facts about our rapidly changing environment and creative exercises and projects that make a difference, children are motivated to take immediate action. A Kid's Guide to Climate Change & Global Warming provides many hours of creative activism that students, parents, teachers, and polar bears alike will love."--Linda Sivertsen & Tosh Sivertsen, authors of the award-winning Generation Green: The Ultimate Teen Guide to Living an Eco-Friendly Life
Polar meltdown? NOT!
According to the University of Illinois (and my wife has a B.S. and M.S. from the Univ. of Illinois at Champaign and she’s pretty smart, so I’d believe them) Antarctic sea ice is nearly 1,000,000 square kilometers above the 1979-2000 normal. That means that the excess sea ice would cover an area about the size of Michigan and California combined! According to the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, CO - Antarctic sea ice has grown at the rate of over 4% per decade over the past 30 years and reached an all-time maximum in 2008. You haven’t heard this reported in the mainstream press. What they have reported is the ice breaking off the Wikins ice shelf - which would represent about one pixel on the map here. Calving of ice off the shelf is a common and natural occurrence. Meanwhile in the Arctic - the icecap has grown more in the past 16 months than in any 16-month period on record.
The end is not near > 04.23.09
Eventually, say in 10 years or so, the economy will recover, albeit at a lower, more sustainable rate of growth. However, we still won’t be out of the woods, because by that time we’ll be starting to feel the effects of global warming. The sea level will rise, topping the levees in the Sacramento Delta and salting up the water supply for 75 percent of the state’s population.

Those who haven’t already starved to death will almost certainly die from thirst. Disposing of the bodies won’t be a problem, because when the natives grow restless, they often turn to cannibalism.
Earth Day - Communist Propaganda!
And no, man is not causing global warming, in spite of the unmitigated lies you are being fed, by those who are hell-bent on controlling you.

This same fraud, perpetrated by government and special interest groups, is forcing inefficient wind and solar power energy sources upon us, that require more fossil fuel energy to build, require huge government subsidies to be viable at all and represent a insignificant fraction of the total energy we consume. In the meantime the policies from this fraud are sucking the energy needed to keep our economy humming by very efficient sources of energy from hydro, nuclear, oil, coal and natural gas, and they are being seriously inhibited or prohibited all together. A country without sufficient energy is a third-world country, subject to all the vagaries of third-world countries and banana republics.
