Ada — United States Senator Jim Inhofe made a stop in Ada on Friday morning to update Ada residents about recent happenings in Washington, D.C. Inhofe is confident that the tide has turned his way.
“After we did some checking, we found out that the scientists were not united on this idea. In fact, now the vast majority of them will tell you that it’s just not true. It was, in fact, a hoax,” Inhofe said.

“It (the Cap and Trade tax) would be about a $400 billion tax every year. We now have the votes where we can keep that from happening,” Inhofe said.
"They've basically said, 'You want to pass something? Write us a check,'" said Frank O'Donnell of Clean Air Watch. The "check" would come in the form of free permits to emit greenhouse gases. The allowances would be hugely valuable in the cap and trade system, where firms would essentially buy and sell pollution permits to meet emissions limits.
