Australian Climate Madness: Indoctrination Alert: Australian Museum launches climate change exhibit

If you're visiting the Australian Museum in Sydney, I would advise you to steer clear of their latest climate change exhibition, entitled "Climate Change: Our Future, Our Choice" - even the title is misleading. We have no choice in it - climate changes, that's what climate does - and a glance at the kind of message the exhibition sends confirms my worst fears...

Note:

- the exhibition’s utter certainty that the world is warming, and its failure to concede there’s a debate

- the apocalyptic fear-mongering

- the suggestion that the ice caps are melting, when Antarctic ice has been growing and the Arctic is now back to near-normal extent

- the no-sweat virtue being pushed that implies that fighting this “warming” will involve nothing harder than dancing or talking

- the linking of naughty hamburgers to this “warming”, rather than, say, the child’s future job, car, overseas travel or something much harder to attack or give up

Rudd should be pilloried for promising an urgent fix we couldn’t afford and a scheme that wouldn’t work to a problem that isn’t there and which he said couldn’t wait, only now to drop it for a year - or almost certainly longer.

Rudd to delay ETS - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

The Federal Government is today expected to announce that it is delaying the introduction of its emissions trading scheme by a year.

The ABC understands that Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is about to announce that the scheme will be delayed until 2011, while the range of proposed cuts will be increased to 5 to 25 per cent of 2000 levels by 2020.
