Climate Progress » Blog Archive » Has anyone in U.S. history made more Americans less safe than Dick Cheney?
Global warming is the only true preventable existential threat to the health and well-being — the security and safety — of Americans.
...
One could write an entire book on Cheney’s single-handed efforts to destroy a livable climate for your children, grandchildren, and the next 50 generations of Americans. I suspect someone will.
...
But history will not be kind to Cheney and Bush. Assuming that we don’t avert catastrophic global warming, they will be seen as two of the worst leaders in U.S. history — a judgment some are already issuing: “Bush will go down in history as possibly a person who has doomed the planet.” Make that, “Bush and Cheney.”

Pretty funny. Language not for the young or aurally-sensitive.

BRUSSELS, April 3 (RIA Novosti) - The government of Belgium's French-speaking region of Wallonia, which has a population of about 4 million, has approved a tax on barbequing, local media reported.

Experts said that between 50 and 100 grams of CO2, a so-called greenhouse gas, is emitted during barbequing. Beginning June 2007, residents of Wallonia will have to pay 20 euros for a grilling session.

The local authorities plan to monitor compliance with the new tax legislation from helicopters, whose thermal sensors will detect burning grills.

Joey is so afraid of me he has installed full time comment screening to make sure I don't "pollute" his indespensable blog.
You know Tom, we, and especially you, because of the wide wealth of knowledge at your fingertips, have absolutely nothing to fear from the few intrepid climate change advocates who might still exist in the blogisphere. That is a continually shrinking subset, even at places like climate progress.
Opening up the comment section allows everyone to see the fanatics in their own words.
STJ, Gavin, and especially Luke, over at Jennifer Marohasy, do more damage to the climate change agenda on a daily basis then a hundred negative comments could do at a Joe Romm blog.
