No matter what they dress it up as, it’s still a scam that’s designed to confiscate people’s money, dictate how they’ll live, and advance liberalism/socialism in this country. That’s all it ever was about, and all it ever will be about.

I have no doubt that Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff will disavow any inkling of a policy resembling a carbon tax or cap and trade scheme, because I respect his intelligence enough to believe that he must know it’s political suicide. Nobody wants a national carbon tax, except the Liberal delegates it would appear, and it isn’t going to be a vote-getter. But I think it’s important to note that one of the prime reasons that the Liberals lost 19 seats in the past election was their arrogant belief that Canadians would accept a national carbon tax without a strong debate or referendum on it. Their rejection of the Liberal party was more of a rejection of the carbon tax than it was an endorsement for Stephen Harper.

The article by John Kondos on April 22 poses as a reasonable discourse on the subject of global warming, but is instead a rehash of the old misstatements.

His first misstatement is “scientific warnings ... are becoming more urgent.”

If by that he means that the global cooling of the last decade has sent the warming zealots over the edge, I wholeheartedly agree with him.
