Science is not 'belief'
Nope, 10ksnooker, science is not "belief". But these days, a lot of "believers" are pretending to be scientists. Look instead to the ice cores, paleo/geological records, growing polar ice extent, glacier behavior, and the sheer physics of IR absorption... all point to AGW being just another scare to gain fascist control of all industry by controlling the energy. It is cheap energy that gives the chance of freedom to the poorest of the world. How can the eco-fascists hate the poor so much that they peddle the AGW lie with reckless disregard for the lives they propose to destroy?

Science is also not whitewashing inconvenient facts in order to achieve Utopian goals. (You know 'Utopia' literally means 'nowhere', don't you?)
Question for 10ksnooker - where do you get your information? Al Gore book has been proven wrong. Silly things like ignoring the closing of weather stations in Russia then using weather station data to "prove" global warming. Many more examples exist - go look for "facts".
GE owns NBC/MSNBC. Billions of dollars bet on "green" energy. The channels are just advertising vehicles. The ice age could hit and there wouldn't be one iota of utterance against catastrophic AGW. Closing Share price peaked around $160 in 1999 and has tanked ever since. Until the shareholders get rid of the present exec. for an obviously failed strategy, there never will be.
10snooker - read some Polyani. You might find that belief and faith commitments play a larger role in science than many would like to admit.
