Global warming, climate change and the politics of language

You'll notice that my headlines always have global warming in them (yes, I write my own headlines--feel free to suggest better ones). Yet most of the wire services use climate change, or have for the past three years. This is because someone finally noticed that the 'globe' is not 'warming.'
