My Repower America Meeting « Chrisy58’s Weblog
Today I drove into downtown Phoenix for the Repower America Meeting. There was a good turnout and the panal was very interesting. We even had one protestor who was asked to leave after he accused the panal of lying about climate change and telling us we were fools to believe.

With over 4,300 registered participants for the Bonn meeting, the corridors were congested on the first day of the meeting.

Readers keep asking, “Has it been unusually cool lately or what?”

The answer is yes, but just by a bit. But the marine layer has been abnormally thick, and will be again on Thursday, says the National Weather Service.

Everyone knows about “June gloom,” the drab marine layer that’s common this time of year, especially along the coast. The layer is usually 2,500 to 3,000 feet deep. Lately, though, it’s been up to 6,000 feet thick, blocking the warmth of sunshine for a good part of the day.
