Last week, Representative Broun offered an amendment to a commerce appropriations bill that would have forbidden any spending on a National Climate Service. A USQ academic will contribute to a global database on greenhouse gas emission factors during an Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) meeting in Santiago, Chile this month (June 24-26).
Dr Tek Maraseni, a research fellow from the Australian Centre for Sustainable Catchments, is the only known Australian scientist to be attending the third expert meeting on data for the IPCC Database on Greenhouse Gas Emission Factors on Soil Carbon in Croplands and Grasslands.
