NEC Display Solutions of America hopes to prove that a monitor can be both ergonomically appealing (read, BIG) and eco-friendly.

The company’s new 22-inch MultiSync E222W features both an ECO Mode, which makes it pretty simple to turn down the brightness at will, reducing power consumption and heat generation. The displays includes Intelligent Power Management software, which means you can set when it will switch over to a low-power or powered-off state. You can track how the use of these tools affects your carbon footprint, which is a nifty tool for reminding people of their individual impact on greenhouse gas emissions.
