The sudden collapse of honeybee colonies around the world, a condition identified in 2004, is most likely caused by the parasite Nosema ceranae, not the human causes alleged by environmental activist groups, Spanish researchers have reported in Environmental Microbiology Reports, a journal of the Society for Applied Microbiology.

Canada: Politicians divided over anti-idling bylaw
Politicians were considering two options for toughening an anti-idling bylaw that since 1999 had limited idling to five minutes but with little enforcement and broad exemptions. City staff want to cut idling time to one minute, a federally recommended time frame for balancing pollution reduction and global climate change.
Question: Who's going to run all the required stopwatches?

In the name of fighting pollution, the car driver is being reduced to a prisoner in his own car, that is burning gas he paid for.
