Rail: A CO2 Bigfoot
Environment: Global warming alarmists are incessantly preaching the virtues of mass transit and condemning as evil the cars most of us get around in. Turns out their paradigm is a bit flawed.
PAUL DRIESSEN -- The Immorality Of Waxman-Markey: Intense Pain, No Environmental Gain
We need a serious, robust debate on this intrusive legislation — and on a rapidly growing body of scientific evidence that says planetary temperatures are actually falling, carbon dioxide plays only a minor role in climate change, and we do not face worse floods, droughts, storms or other disasters.

To inflict intense pain for no environmental gain is immoral. To ram such legislation through with backroom deals and no substantive debate — and unleash bureaucrats to control our energy use and lives — is dictatorial and un-American. When The People finally catch on, it won't be a pretty sight.
Coalition of 186 Oppose Waxman-Markey Cap-and-Trade (Tax) Bill
Americans for Tax Reform released a coalition letter signed by 186 national and state leaders in a letter to all members of Congress urging opposition to H.R. 2454, “The American Clean Energy and Security Act,” also known as the Waxman-Markey plan (or Cap-and-Trade/Cap-and-Tax).

Signatories included state and national leaders, 119 current legislators representing 39 different states, heads of think-tanks, activist groups, business owners and organizations representing millions of American families.
Green Goes Bust in Formula One - Henry Payne - Planet Gore on National Review Online
...So in 2009, F1 came up with the green gesture of KERS — the Kinetic Energy Recovery System — whereby race teams were required to install electric, regenerative-braking “hybrid” systems that would store energy that drivers could use for quick bursts of instant power to pass opponents.

With this year’s F1 season not even half over, KERS is widely viewed as a bomb. Why? Because it is expensive and returns little bang for the buck (a familiar complaint of hybrid drivers everywhere).
