Skeptic's Corner: Skeptics From Around the Globe
L. Graham Smith, PhD, Associate Professor, Dept. of Geography, University of Western Ontario
Alarmism about climate is predicated upon the assertion that contemporary temperature changes are both unprecedented and unnatural. Using the Little Ice Age as a base point for today's temperatures is a contrivance designed to promote alarmism.
Global warming myths and those who cannot count
This really sounds like the kind of policy problem that should be addressed in a technocratic fashion and should properly bore people half to death. The sky is not falling. We are not melting. We are not drowning. If global warming does continue, we should accelerate measures that we should do in any case--move to greener energy sources, insulate our buildings, and even paint the rooftops white in big cities.

But--and feel free to join in the chorus, here--we don't need to panic.
This has been a frustrating spring for farmers in area - North Dakota - News
Andy and John Lange, who farm 750-900 acres in the Webster area, say it has been a frustrating spring and early summer for farmers in the Lake Region area.

It’s not so much the high water that caused considerable overland flooding in the northern end of the county, but the unusually cool temperatures.

“We actually haven’t had that much rain, until today [Monday],” Andy said. “It has been the cold weather. We haven’t had enough heat to warm the soil at all. Its been so cool, cloudy and humid there’s been no evaporation.’’
