SOCIALIST UNITY » Ecosocialism, climate change, resistance
As capitalism continues with business as usual, climate change is fast expanding the gap between rich and poor between and within nations, and imposing unparalleled suffering on those least able to protect themselves.

In THE GLOBAL FIGHT FOR CLIMATE JUSTICE, anticapitalist activists from five continents offer radical answers to the most important questions of our time:

* Why is capitalism destroying the conditions that make life on Earth possible?
* How can we stop the destruction before it is too late?

It gets even funnier. Here some quotes almost straight from the mouth of “Koko Warner, a researcher at United Nations University’s Institute for Environment and Human Security in Bonn and one of the principal authors of the most recent analysis“

* “there’s no real science yet”
* she was careful to note that the surveys her team conducted [...] provided only anecdotal evidence
* “You couldn’t call this statistically significant. It’s probably not a large enough sample”

Yet neither country has really committed to the kinds of reductions that are needed. A House committee bill that seeks a mandatory 80 percent cut in America’s emissions by midcentury has barely begun its journey through Congress. The Chinese, meanwhile, are not even thinking about mandatory limits; they have said they will try to limit “carbon intensity” — the amount of energy emitted per unit of gross domestic product — which is another way of saying emissions will be allowed to rise.

"...carbon intensity..."

The Chinese understand that by setting fixed carbon "targets" for a whole country, the economy of that country would necessarily have to be a *planned economy* to ensure that *planned* target.
Isn't it ironic how all the Western countries (seemingly) are stumbling blindly straight into communism&planned economics while the Chinese, the alleged "Communists" are the only defenders of true capitalism and economic freedom.
