Taxing fossil fuels, to teach renewables in schools
In response to the California state budget crisis, and, to global warming urgencies, Californiia's 20th District Assemblymember Alberto Torrico has proposed Assembly Bill 656, a tax "for the privilege of severing oil or gas from the earth or water in this state," to fund higher education, especially renewable energy education, to train a generation capable of helping California make a transition from fossil fuel to renewable energy.More Global Warming You Can’t Believe In … Chicago Temps Coldest in 50 Years | Scared Monkeys
However, what is not a myth is the permanent tax that President Barack Obama and Democrats want to give to all Americans, not just the one’s making over $250K, when they implement a “cap and trade” plan to supposedly reduce carbon emissions. The reality is, it’s just more distribution of the wealth.

Alberto is wasting his time.
An oil tax will never pass a referendum. In fact we voted one of those down in 2007.
