Barrasso Pledges To Fight Climate Change Bill - cbs4denver.com
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) ― Sen. John Barrasso says he will do everything he can to prevent a bill that attempts to fight climate change from passing the Senate.

Barrasso says the bill amounts to a tax on carbon dioxide emissions and would raise energy costs for Wyoming residents. He also says the bill was heavily amended just before passing the U.S. House on Friday and no one had a chance to read the whole thing before voting on it.

In an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday, Barrasso says a better approach would be for the federal government to provide prize money for researchers who can figure out how to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
