Why is it that all of the Profits of doom are so keen on these futile ETS schemes if it is not to get a slice of the action?

Not satisfied with the buckets of money that they have convinced governments and business to channel to their “research” (which seems to result in yet more faulty climate models) they now want to create a scam so big and so embedded in our economy that they will be able to milk the gullible public from now until the sun stops shining.

Look again at Rudd’s list of new green positions. Think that rag-bag of make-work can replace the solid blue-collar jobs he implicitly admits he’ll destroy?

Global warming and the madness of scientists

So, the scientist who I think is of the greatest use to a journalist covering this debate is Roger Pielke Sr. I've mentioned him frequently--because he is willing to talk about the issues. His opinion--that global warming is real, that CO2 contributes to it, but that other things mankind does may contribute even more--is obviously sincere, backed up by publications from him and from others, and has a common-sense 'rightness' to it that just rings true to me. Your actual mileage may vary.
