Cycling throng gives bicyclists a bad name

Stand-up comedian George Carlin, who died last year, said it best when he focused on the arrogance of these "bourgeois liberals who think the only thing wrong with this country is there aren't enough bicycle paths."

And I agree with him. I used to be a keen cyclist. But the current crop of bike snobs, vanity-filled vegans and global-warming true believers sickens me so much I'm tempted to spend one Friday a month roaring up and down the new Burrard Bridge bike lane in a Hummer.
