Why the canard that cap-and-trade will get us off of foreign oil? It will do exactly the opposite as the clamps are put on any domestic drilling or exploration. You can clearly see where she stands on the global warming issue. To add to this, one of my students wrote a letter to Sen. Stabenow on his own referencing the global warming debate. Here is the reply he received from the Senator, minus his personal contact info
