Forget Shorter Showers | Derrick Jensen | Orion Magazine
WOULD ANY SANE PERSON think dumpster diving would have stopped Hitler, or that composting would have ended slavery or brought about the eight-hour workday, or that chopping wood and carrying water would have gotten people out of Tsarist prisons, or that dancing naked around a fire would have helped put in place the Voting Rights Act of 1957 or the Civil Rights Act of 1964? Then why now, with all the world at stake, do so many people retreat into these entirely personal “solutions”?
C3: The Problem With Climate Alarmist Scientists: Are They All Pathological Liars?
Note: It's my view that more and more people are coming to the conclusion that they have been lied to about global warming by the climate scientist community and the media. This growing suspicion, and the displeasure with global warming catastrophe hype, is becoming a larger political risk for politicians. With the world actually now cooling and the economy in tatters, it may be in the best interests of the Senators to first throw the climate-hype/fraud scientists to the "crowds." The next step would be for the Senators to propose carbon tax legislation that starts out very modestly, and grows over time, so as to appear to be "doing something" without crippling the economy and impoverishing the middle-class.
