Lagniappe: Fighting Global Warming Alarmism with Gov’t Money for Global Warming

This might seem a little ironic, but taking the fight to global warming alarmists can be done with aid of the federal government.

None of the seven Alabama congressmen, four Republicans and three Democrats voted in favor of the cap-and-trade legislation that passed in the U.S. House of Representatives last month, so it’s probably safe to assume based on their votes, the global warming issue isn’t a huge concern for the constituency in Alabama.

Weather: Low tonight predicted to break 59-year record

OTTAWA — You think it's cold now? Wait until this evening when the temperature is expected to drop to a record-breaking 8 C. The coldest temperature ever recorded on July 14 in Ottawa is 8.9 C, set in 1950.

And it looks like the lousy weather will continue Wednesday, Thursday and through to next week, with some respite on Friday.

Mass.: Another record low, but warmer weather ahead

We've been flirting with record lows for days now, and today we managed to break one. The unofficial low this morning was 49 at Westover ARB in Chicopee, breaking the previous record of 54 that had been set in 1990. It's worthwhile to note that 54 was the highest record low on the books in July, but even still it's been unusually cool.
