I once expressed my doubts about this topic in another venue and received a letter (unsigned with no return address) from an individual who was rather hostile in his/her expression and challenged me to fill in a blank with just one credible scientist who discredits the global warming theory. The consequence is that policies with far-reaching effects go without scrutiny.
