Czech President Václav Klaus: Neosocialism Threatens Europe « Thoughts Of A Conservative Christian
The current Global Warming Debate is not about temperature or CO2 levels. It is also not part of a scientific dispute inside climatology. It is an ideological clash between those who want to change us (rather than the climate) and those who believe in freedom, markets, human ingenuity, and technical progress. It is a dispute about us, about people, about human society, about our values, about our habits, about our way of life. Temperature fluctuations are only an instrument, not a real object of interest for those who play that game.Questioning the role of CO2 in global climate : eLetters Colorado
The advocates of global warming alarmism ask for an almost unprecedented expansion of government intrusion, of government intervention into our lives and of government control over us. We are pushed into accepting rules about how to live, what to do, how to behave, what to consume, what to eat, how to travel. It is unacceptable. Radical, human freedom and prosperity endangering measures and policies owing to global warming are not necessary.
If mankind is the culprit in climate change, maybe Congress and the Obama administration should park the bandwagon and mandate some honest scientific debate instead of windmills.Q+A: Rodney Hide interviewed by Guyon Espiner | Q AND A News

GUYON It's interesting though because you don't believe that manmade climate change is happening at all do you?All American Blogger » General Electric’s Apparently Looking for A Big Payout From Big Government
RODNEY Well I'd describe myself as very sceptical.
GUYON Well you actually went a lot further than this in September 2, 2008, you described global warming as a hoax, and I'll quote you "Al Gore is a phoney and a fraud on this issue, and the Emissions Trading Scheme is a world wide scam and a swindle". Now my question is, why would you vote for an Emissions Trading Scheme when you don't believe in global warming, and you think the whole Trading Scheme is a sham?
RODNEY Well I wouldn't.
General Electric owns NBC, CNBC and MSNBC, all of which are carrying the water for the Administration. This is not how free markets work. This is how government power has corrupted the system.
