Michigan: RECORD COLD JULY

Not only was July 2009 the coldest July on record at Grand Rapids, but the highest temperature for the month was 84 degrees, setting a new record for the coldest July monthly maximum temperature. The old record was 85 degrees in 2000.

What happened? The CBO began scoring ObamaCare, and the House shoved cap-and-tax down the throats of Republicans. Even after Porkulus, people clung to the belief that Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid represented a moderate middle rather than a radical Left, and that their leadership would focus on prosperity rather than socialism. After June and July, those pretenses disappeared, even in Minnesota.

Americans for Prosperity "Hot Air Tour" To Fight Against Cap and Trade

The Hot Air Tour has the goal of building grassroots pressure against costly state, local, and federal climate change policies. AFP has pledged to mobilize citizens in order to fight off any attempts to pass a cap-and-trade regulatory scheme, traveling to 13 states in April and June of this year and hosting grassroots rallies with hundreds of citizen activists.
