Why are you for a coup de grace to small business and American farmers with the Cap and Trade bill?
Cap and Trade will mean big job losses for Wisconsin
The bill narrowly passed the House and has not passed the Senate yet. There has been little public debate because of the current public concern over the health care bill. Go to www.wmc.org to see the full report. Contact Senators Kohl and Feingold to express your opinion regarding this bill.
Luetkemeyer focusing on energy policy : News : KRCG
While Claire McCaskill is focused on health care, mid-Missouri Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer is talking energy policy.

Luetkemeyer said the cap and trade legislation to set carbon emissions limits on industry is a hidden tax on American families.

The Miller County republican said democrats want to use half of the $600 billion in annual energy taxes raised by cap and trade to finance President Obama's health care program.

In fact, Luetkemeyer said the president's health care plans are totally dependent on the passage of cap and trade.
Cap and Trade Not Beneficial to Nation; Coal Should Offset Foreign Oil Imbalance - Huntington News Network
Huntington, WV (HNN) – Environmentalists attack coal mining and coal burning power plants. However, these fossil fuels represent one of the most inexpensive energy sources. More importantly, these resources are not imported.

Thus, in the opinion of Mark Pinson, a local coal executive, the Cap and Trade provisions supported by the Obama Administration disproportionately impact West Virginians. Jobs would be lost, but the cost of electricity would soar into the stratosphere as inexpensive coal fired plants are replaced by more expensive alternatives (i.e. wind mills, solar cells, nuclear).
