The point of all this silliness is that all of these dire predictions are more than far fetched, they are ludicrous. Global warming fear mongering has turned into a sport anyone can play. The best rumors are those with what sounds like a touch of science behind them, even if that “science” turns out to be bogus. When Hailey's Comet was predicted to return to earthly skies in 1910 pandemonium broke out all over the world. Charlatans sold gas masks to protect from “comet vapors” and all sorts of strange phenomena were attributed to the comet's passing. The fear mongers have traded comets for global warming but the lies are as inventive as ever. Only the gullible accept the doomsday predictions of the climate change alarmists, to the peril of us all.
