Your Funds: ‘Green’ fund cites ‘carbon footprint’ - Carbon Offsets Daily
Green Century Balanced fund has a carbon footprint that is two-thirds lower than the Standard & Poor’s 500 index. It also gets a below-average star rating from fund-research firm Morningstar Inc., gets a below-average score for consistent return and preservation of capital from Lipper Inc., and has expenses that are roughly average for a stock fund.

If you’re an investor with a concern for the environment, the real question is which of those statistics is going to stand out to you.
Incredibly poor advice from economist Barry Flinchbaugh: Just as enemy lines are crumbling, he wants us to surrender
“Front and center is renewable fuels and climate change and you can’t separate the two. And the question is global warming a hoax is a stupid question because the political system worldwide has decided that its for real and things are going to happen. The Supreme Court gave the EPA the authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. So to pretend we can whip this, we being agriculture is ridiculous. We can’t whip this and we need to get inside the tent and help make the decisions.”

So instead of recycling your car for another person who just wants a cheap car, the government destroys it, making sure nobody could possibly drive it again which wastes the pollution that was created in manufacturing that car not to mention, the pollution created by manufacturing the so-called more fuel efficient car you just bought. Just think of how much pollution is created when a car is manufactured! How long would it take to make up that pollution by saving the so-called 5 extra miles per gallon that the “cash for clunkers” program requires? And ask anyone who has ever bought a hybrid if their car gets anywhere near the gas mileage that was advertised anyway!
