Cold ocean cyclones can reduce hurricane intensity and activity
Washington, September 29 (ANI): In a new study, a team of scientists has found that cool water upwellings occurring within ocean cyclones following alongside and behind hurricanes are sometimes strong enough to reduce the strength of hurricanes as they cross paths.
AFP: Poorer states need 'billions' for global warning [hoax]: World Bank
THE HAGUE — Developing countries will need up to 100 billion dollars (80 billion euros) a year for 40 years to combat the effects of global warming, said a World Bank report released in The Hague on Tuesday.
...
"It is for many countries a question of life and death," [Dutch Development Minister Bert Koenders] added. "There will be no climate deal in Copenhagen if there is no financing for adaptation" -- referring to the UN climate summit to be held there in December.
...
"Development is the most powerful form of adaptation," the report said.
...
If nothing is done, the report argued, global warming would kill half the species on the planet, flood 30 percent of coastal wetlands, and cause a steep rise in malnutrition and disease.

Union Minister for Environment and Forests Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday asserted that “India will walk out” of the Copenhagen Climate Change summit to be held in December this year if the Western world insisted on enforcing any kind of legal bindings on emission trajectory. He charged European nations with adopting a fundamentalist approach, which was destroying the Copenhagen agenda.
Senate Cap and Trade Bill Draft Released: Worse Than House Version
It has long been abundantly clear that this cap and trade global warming tax scheme has nothing to do with global warming and nothing to do with science, but is purely a Marxist vehicle for the wealth redistribution craved by elitists and freeloaders.

The American people should be outraged that their own government is not just willing but eager to fleece their pockets and take away their everyday freedom in clear violation of the U.S. Constitution…all to address a “problem” that doesn’t even exist.
...
The chances for Democrats to retain control of congress in 2010 are slim at this point, and if they press forward with this proposed armed robbery of the American people, they can definitely hang it up. Perhaps some of them are dedicated Koolaid drinkers who actually want to ram this through before they lose their chance next year.
