The contraceptive solution to ‘man-made’ global warming: abolish man - Gerald Warner - Telegraph Blogs
That would prepare the way eventually for a Zero Child Policy which, within a century, would render harmless all our concerns about global warming. Its greatest virtue would be that, by the time the global warming Grande Peur was finally exposed for the rubbish it is, there would be nobody on earth to reproach its fabricators. Germany's solution to climate change: a world-wide welfare scheme. (Because welfare works so well) - Full Comment
Simply forking over money has been tried in a number of other policy areas before, with unimpressive results. The West has been spending billions every year for decades in Africa, and, last time I looked, it had yet to develop into a wealthy modern society with full employment and full bellies. Billions more go out in welfare cheques to our own people, yet there's still lots of poverty to go round. Weird eh? I know.

Not that I want to discourage herr docktor doktor Schellnhuber. He's probably good at physics. But saving the world takes more than a physics degree.
