Norman Borlaug, global warming and overpopulation

I have no problem with those who advocate reduced CO2 emissions to fight global warming--in fact, I agree with them. I do have a problem with those who are using climate change as a cover for their long term campaign to reduce human populations by whatever means necessary to lessen our impact on this planet. I consider them as evil as any totalitarian memory from the 20th Century and I believe they should be fought just as vigorously.

Journalists also need training. This should include training in basic science communication skills, such as how to translate statistics and risk (see Communicating statistics and risk). But it should also include training in the basics of climate change and its affect on health - journalism schools and courses should revise their curricula to include the 'abc' of climate change and its impacts.
