The Prince of Wales has launched a ground-breaking "SOS" text campaign to save the rainforests, backed by some of the world's biggest companies and celebrities including Sting, Joanna Lumley and Stephen Fry.

...a January 30, 2009 New York Times article article stated, "By one estimate, for every acre of rain forest cut down each year, more than 50 acres of new forest are growing in the tropics..." The new forest includes secondary forest on former farmland and so-called degraded forest.

But the location of the project and the simultaneous announcement that it will end a three-year run of buying renewable-energy credits spurred a few questions. And VR isn't alone in its move away from wind. Copper Mountain announced in early September that it will also stop buying renewable-energy credits for wind power, instead looking for ways to invest in environmental initiatives that have a more direct impact on the resort.

In a nutshell, the IPCC appears to have utilized a group of scientists whose sole purpose was to fabricate global temperature histories in order to make our current global temperatures look high. Unfortunately for the IPCC, these fabricated, reconstructed temperatures can't stand up to close scientific and statistical analysis; and, it has now been confirmed by this persistent effort that past temperatures were indeed higher than present ones.
