When I saw that Hadow, Hartley and Daniels received recognition it reaffirmed why I have not picked up a hard copy of the Time Magazine in years and why I don't even bother to check out the magazine on the web. This British team learned nothing on their expedition except it still pretty darn cold in the arctic. A German team, surveying with radar towed behind airplanes traveling low and slow, actually produced usable data on the ice distribution around the arctic. Time recognizes style over substance. Its no wonder Time-Warner is ready to spin off its namesake magazine unit.
