VATICAN CITY, SEPT. 20, 2009 (Zenit.org).- The environmental concern of Benedict XVI, often tagged the "Green Pope" in the media, is anchored in a religious and ethical vision of the world, according to a Vatican spokesman.

"Indeed, the pronouncements on the protection of the environment, on the safeguarding of creation, are more frequent and -- we can say -- almost continuous," commented Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, director of the Holy See's press office.

They are based on the same climate models which have failed miserably in the first decade showing strong warming while the globe cooled, sea levels accelerating up while they have stopped rising and heat records increasing in frequency while we have had fewer heat records in any decade since the 1800s, and disappearing snow while all time snow records occurred in the last two years. But don’t confuse the issue with facts. These reports are timed to affect the decisions made by congress w/r to Cap-and Tax.

Just back from the icebox that was Century City AMC movie theatre where my nose was glacier cold, my breath like the north winds, and the only warmth in the theatre was hope oozing from Age of Stupid, a most important movie for our time.
