SEJ Accused of Protecting Gore : CJR
...the fact that An Inconvenient Truth contains inaccuracies is nothing new. The errors are minor and the film is broadly accurate; well-respected scientists and other critics have been saying as much since it debuted.
I was waiting to ask Al Gore a question. SEJ was right to cut off Phelim McAleer. | The Peach Report
I believe that journalists should ask tough questions. Obviously. That is our job. But no new information was being yielded by the McAleer-Gore exchange, and I think the moderators were right to try to move the session along as quickly as possible.
YouTube - Daring to Question Al Gore
[Update: Now with 221,919 views]
After Gore's exchange with a skeptic lasting about ONE MINUTE, journalist Revkin abruptly cuts off the tough questioning. This was supposedly about saving Gore's precious time, after Gore rambled and filibustered earlier onstage, dragging out a lengthy Minnie Pearl-related joke, etc.

Note that this critical minute has generated far more internet interest than the rest of the conference combined.

Given Revkin's prominent role in this incident, why hasn't he put up a post about it on Dot Earth?
