Rep. Joe Barton: Capping jobs, trading in misery — wrong answers to global warming
Whatever happens next, I hope Democrats and Republicans can find some way to apply common sense to what we’re doing. We don’t want the cost of energy to bankrupt working people; we want them to drive what they want to drive and go where they need to go, and we want them to keep their jobs. That doesn’t seem too much for the people who inhabit this world to expect of us.
A 21st Century rip-off
A natural phenomenon earthly in its origin twisted into the scourge of humankind. The misinformation cleverly spun and backed up by money, marketing and constant repetition doom, gloom and you are directly responsible. The outcome clearly intimidating and terrorising the average citizen into unsolicited change with trepidation, burden and guilt delivering the two most misunderstood words of the 21st century: Global Warming!
Motorists in London to pay ‘green’ charge for parking
The council has officially said it wants to make some 556,000 pounds in extra revenue and we see this latest move as purely punitive – an easy way to get extra income.
GE’s smart-meter profiteering « Green Hell Blog
GE announced today that utility giant American Electric Power (AEP) will purchase 110,000 smart meters from GE. And just how is AEP managing to buy all these smart meters? President Obama and Congress are making us pay for them.

On Sep. 1, AEP applied to the Department of Energy for $75 million in federal stimulus money for the smart meter purchase.

It’s a good thing that GE’s Immelt sits on Barack Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board — how else would the Department of Energy know to direct smart meter purchases to GE?
