Snow-hit people and livestock transferred to winter pastures- People's Daily Online
To date, some 10,000 locals and their livestock in snow-hit Ngari Prefecture in western Tibet have successfully transferred to winter pastures,and up to now, no casualities were reported.

A heavy snow suddenly hit Ngari Prefecture with its six counties suffering from snow disasters to varying degrees early Oct.

On learning of disaster, the government sent 500 vehicles to clear snow and ice on a road and a work team to transfer 815 households and 100,000 livestock.
