Tancredo: “Global Warming is Bull”
During the speech, [former Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo] also played a new tune for the audience, addressing fears about global warming. When asked if the G.O.P. needs to adopt a platform on climate change and current environmental issues his response was quite eloquent in its brevity: “We have a position, its bull****.”
...
Distressingly though the students in attendance seemed quite happy with Tancredo’s new remarks on climate change and his statement that the GOP needs to move farther to the right, purging itself of moderates and RINOS.

Have You Heard of the Conference of Parties?

Only a few have. But those in the know are already turning tidy profits.

The Conference of Parties -- better known as COP-15 -- is a clandestine meeting attended by leaders from 192 countries.

Their goal: to map the world's economic trajectory for the next 50 years.

Dear Tom, funny that the last name of the congressman is "tancredo" and that he mentions the word "bullxxxx". "tancredo" - apart from a name - is an idiom in spanish. You do the "tancredo" when you do not face the problems, when there's a total lack of action. The word was born 100 years ago in bullfights. A guy named Tancredo waited for the violent entrance of the bull in the bullring completely still. The trick to avoid to be killed by the bull was to remain motionless.

Since then "doing the tancredo" means in spanish: not to face up the problems.

BTW, I think global warming is not a problem at all.

cheers
