Even as a kid, I knew clapping your hands to save Tinker Bell was an exercise in futility. But then again, saving the planet from man is just as bogus. Mankind is too small to kill the planet. Sorry. We just are not good enough to have that power. But recycling and nagging your parents will keep the kids from studying the physical sciences and mathematics. And an ill-informed public that thinks it is smart is the easiest to lead.
