[We're saved!]: Garlic could help to tackle cows’ gassy problems
WELSH scientists have come up with a cunning plan to save the planet from climate change – by stopping cow flatulence with garlic.

The Welsh company plans to give its new feed, which they’ve called Mootral, free to farmers.

Instead, they would make their money from carbon offsetting, with the hope that carbon emitters like airlines would invest in Mootral by buying “carbon credits” to balance the amount of greenhouse gasses they emit.
Minister flew 14,000 miles in 28 months
It shows the 52-year-old [Environment Minister Jane Davidson], who advocates a green lifestyle and who often cycles to the Assembly, has made 13 separate flights on official business since May 2007.

They include a return trip to Los Angeles to take part in a global climate summit organised by actor turned politician Arnold Schwarzenegger at the beginning of this month, and a visit to Monaco (via Nice) to deliver a presentation on sustainable development.

Mr Richard said yesterday: “This Minister lectures us on carbon abatement and talks about her bicycle usage, and here she is jetting off to conferences, paid for by us, all around the globe, that are just irrelevant talking shops as regards Wales. And the final insult is, that to cut her massive carbon footprint, she wants wind turbines built all over our wonderful scenery.”
