Boston: James Hansen to sleep out with frustrated young global warming believers?

Onwards and Upwards « The Leadership Campaign
I will not lie to you. This week has been extremely difficult. We started out this campaign with full force and optimism. It was our assumption everyone had a forest fire under their asses ready to take on global climate disruption at whatever cost. It seems, and correct me if I’m wrong, but most people aren’t there yet. We have so many people that should be ready, and have the capability to be absolute and complete rockstars but that are just not quite there.
...
We will persevere! It is up to us to overcome all problems we are having and kick complete ass next week. JAMES FREAKING HANSEN is sleeping out and lobbying with us next Sunday. We must show him a good time!

The Leadership Campaign
We'll see you at our next sleepout on Boston Common on Sunday, November 1st at 5:00PM!

We will be dressing up as Climate Refugees for Halloween, and creating a Climate Refugee Camp on the Boston Common, complete with "Medical" Tents, "Food" Tents, and the like.
[Sept '09: Is this climate fraud believer threatening violence?]
It has become apparent that an enlightened, stubbornly positive methodology, backed by data and letters to the editor, is alone not enough. We have realized that nature itself, which we claim to defend, has a ferocious side that we are free to, and would be neglectful not to, emulate. The mother bear does not negotiate with the wolverine that approaches the cub. We have asked ourselves, as members of the animal kingdom, should we not recognize the threat to future generations, and, albeit reluctantly, expend the energy necessary to defend their right to a healthy life?
It is our responsibility to decide who is a wolverine, and who is a bumbling fool.

Students from BC, Harvard, Northeastern, Tufts and BU dance for climate change at this flashmob. Craig Altemose, Coordinator of The Leadership Campaign speaks at the end.

The Leadership Campaign is a network of primarily college students advocating for bold and legitimate solutions to global climate disruption.
