Climate scientists should be “named and fired, drawn and quartered” | CEJournal
Rush Limbaugh went on an extended rant today about global warming, liberals, and climate scientists, triggered by the hacked CRU emails. Here is a portion of what he said:
They’re all frauds. They are all liars. They are skunks. And they ought to be held up for public ridicule. Obama said he wants to restore science to its rightful whatever. Then he ought to be leading the way to find out who these people are, what they’ve done, who they’ve infected, who went along with them, calling them out by name. Making sure that every scientist at every university in this country who has been involved in this is named and fired, drawn and quartered, or whatever it is, because this is a world wide hoax, and it’s primary target was you, the people of the United States of America.

It requires that the electorate believe the science. They need to believe that the invisible gases produced by the very activities that make modern life so comfortable will slowly make the world less and less inhabitable.

And science is contestable. Just take a look what happened when I appeared on an American talk radio show.

A question: what does this say about the data used by the CSIRO and Bureau of Meteorology about their own predictions of warming catastrophe?

The most interesting thing about tonight’s A Current Affair item isn’t what the interviewees say - with all due respect to my colleague Terry McCrann.

It’s that A Current Affair interviews three people about global warming and the emissions trading scheme, all of whom agree the public is being duped without the reporter or presenter suggesting these people are speaking anything other than plain sense.
