Former Vice President Al Gore had four White House meetings in April. The records suggest these were not social calls for Gore, who won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work to curb global warming. Despite the incident, which rocked international headlines last week, climate science is sound, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs stressed this afternoon, and the White House nonetheless believes "climate change is happening."
"I don't think that's anything that is, quite frankly, among most people, in dispute anymore," he said during Monday's press briefing.

Someone needs to let the news guys know that it was the apparent Suborning of Peer Review that makes this so horrid. That these were the peer reviewers and they were doing it fraudulently (IMHO) with attempts to blackball discenters and what looked like blackmail editors (with threats of boycotts).
