Australia: Public concern on climate change waning

A report by ABC Television's Four Corners program, aired on Monday night, has revealed a significant shift in voter opinion on the issue of climate change.

Stephen Newnham, a former Labor strategist, and Rick Brown, who has worked for the Liberal Party, analysed two years of public polling on the issue on behalf of Four Corners.

Mr Newnham said the research showed public concern about climate change had fallen by between "10 per cent and 20 per cent".
