...some Democrats are wary of moving to the global warming bill, and Reid’s signal that he wants to proceed to a jobs bill could suggest the climate measure will have to wait in line....
At this point, the best jobs program Reid can deliver is an end to cap-and-trade. If he pushes it into 2010, that will effectively kill it. If that happens, the 112th Congress will have to reconsider Waxman-Markey, and the way it looks now, Nancy Pelosi won’t be the one in charge of the House to push it.

The electric cars that were going to start hitting the streets in 2010? Apparently, now that they’ve gotten the money, it’s festina lente; Fiat has apparently disbanded the team that was trying to rush these cars to market.
