India admits climate talks ‘deadlocked’
NEW DELHI: The UN conference on climate change in Copenhagen next month is heading for a stalemate, as India’s special envoy on Climate Change Shyam Saran on Wednesday admitted that “talks were at a deadlock”.

Coinciding with Saran’s remarks, the visiting British Climate Change and Energy Shadow Minister Gregory Barker at a separate function also argued for ‘resetting’ the Copenhagen Conference to 2010 instead of December this year, allowing the countries little more time rather than compromising on results and targets.
